Berlin was now in winter, and it felt like the season knew it didn't need to make an announcement. It was late november, the city felt like it was wrapped in white snow as the temperature stayed around 0°C. As people walked on the streets, cold air would seep into the sidewalk, stick to the glass windows, and hit anyone who dared to go outside. People moved through the streets in long coats and thick boots, tiny clouds of breath rising from their mouths.
Cafés were filled with people warming their hands on cups of hot chocolate or cold coffee lovers enjoying their usual fix even in this weather.
